We were honored to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for Stanford Carr’s Hale Moʻiliʻili project—a major step forward in delivering much-needed housing for our community. On behalf of the AFL-CIO Housing Investment Trust and the Hawai‘i Building & Construction Trades Council, we shared a few words celebrating this milestone and the strong partnerships that made it possible.
A heartfelt mahalo to AFL-CIO HIT CEO Chang Suh, Paul Sommers, and Aaron Prince for their continued commitment to Hawai‘i’s working families and for ensuring projects like this are built 100% UNION. Their unwavering support helps create good-paying jobs for our trades while building a stronger, more resilient Hawai‘i.
This project is a testament to what we can accomplish when labor, investment, and community come together with a shared vision.
