From Blueprint to Thriving Community: The Trades Behind Ho‘opili
The Hawai‘i Building and Construction Trades Council (HBCTC) played a key role in the development of Ho‘opili, one of Hawai‘i’s fastest-growing master-planned communities located between Ewa Beach and Kapolei. Through the skilled efforts of its affiliated unions, HBCTC provided the workforce and expertise necessary to transform this community from concept to reality. Carpenters, laborers, electricians, plumbers, masons, and many other trades came together to build quality homes, schools, parks, and infrastructure that form the foundation of Ho‘opili’s vibrant neighborhoods.
The project not only delivered thousands of new homes for local families, but also created lasting opportunities for union workers and strengthened Hawai‘i’s economy. Ho‘opili stands as a testament to what can be achieved when vision, craftsmanship, and community come together.
